New Course Releases

Hey folks,

We have 2 excellent new course releases for you to enjoy. Steve Danut has created a rendition of the famous Quail Hollow Club which hosts the Wachovia Championship on the PGA Tour and Doug Jones has submitted a very well designed fictional course called The Woodlands of Wyandotte that looks and plays like a real layout. Below is a screenshot of each with links to the download pages.

Oakmont Country Club released!

The world famous Oakmont Counry Club has been released by TransAtlantic Designs and IMO is simply an incredible rendition!

Few venues in the world of golf have the championship tradition of Oakmont. Introduced in 1903 by designer Henry Fownes, Oakmont Country Club has hosted more major Championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Open.

Early 4th of July Update Fireworks!!

CPG2 has been updated this week with some excellent features and game modes. These include new character clothing sets, golf ball customization, connection issue fixes, in-game lobby system and more! The following play modes are now available in addition to standard Medal scoring.

Stableford (USGA point system)
Modified Stableford (PGA point system)
Match Play

To top it off a spectacular new licensed course called Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu Golf Club has been included. Overlooking the St. Lawrence river, Le Manoir Richelieu boasts an extraordinary location with exceptional vistas and extremely challenging elevation changes.

Challenging course, breathtaking views, a visual treat. It took a master to tackle this course recreation -- and CPG2 found one: Mr. Brian Silvernail. Superb!

Big Sur Golf Club released

Steve Danut has released a new fictional course called Big Sur Golf Club. The layout is situated in a Monterey themed area complete with cypress trees and steep cliffs along the coastal holes.

Willow Lakes G.C. Released

Dave Craven has submitted a new course called Willow Lakes G.C. which takes it's name from the predominant willow trees and ever present lakes found on this very nice layout. Enjoy!

Not a lot to add to what's been said, but I must say this course looks great, and plays so smoothly, it's even more of a pleasure. Whatever technique you used to reduce the framerate slowdown - can it be pitched into Fontainebleu? j/k, Thanks for Willow Lakes.

Loving attention to detail. Great job, Dave. I think the little ponds look wonderful, as do the textures. I sort of wish you'd have chosen a different pano, though. All in all, a pleasure to play!

Rocky Mountain Golf Resort Released

A new user course submission designed by John Drolet has been added to the CPG2 course downloads section. The Rocky Mountain Golf Resort is surrounded by the Canadian rockies offering beautiful views to go along with a very nice layout.

Excellent work John. Has a nice feel to it. Interesting bunkering patterns on some of the holes. My six-year-old son and I played it together and had a blast. Luckily he thought the more over par, the better... It was a very enjoyable experience.

Nice course. Shot +43. But I have only been playing for a short while. If I start playing 10 strokes or so better, it will feel like my regular game - lol. Thanks, bud!

FREE Licensed Add-On Courses

The Club de Golf Le Fontainebleau course has been added in the latest update to CPG2 via CustomPortal. Also, the recently introduced Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club 9 hole course has been included in the latest version of the demo and is fully playable.
